FIRST CLAIM REPORT BY A PUBLIC ADJUSTER —

A public adjuster will have an error free advantage if they report your claim. They will begin with a clean slate by having an opportunity to interview all named insureds, parties with an interest and witnesses in order to accurately report your claims.  A public adjuster will also recognize and avoid answering loaded and or ambiguous questions and will never speculate as to the root cause of the peril’s origin and cause, until it is fully investigated by the authorities having jurisdiction, e.g. Fire Marshal or O&C Insurance Investigators. If you are traumatized by your loss, not in the correct state of mind, or on medications that can potentially affect your recollection, you may be at a great disadvantage if you are pressured into making a statement on or off the record. Speculating during an interview can later be interpreted by your carrier as a willful Material Misrepresentations, which can spell disaster for your claim.

FIRST CLAIM REPORT BY A POLICYHOLDER —

If a policyholder reported their own claim (first statements are usually recorded), a public adjuster must thoroughly investigate every aspect of previous communications the policyholders had with their carrier and its agents, adjusters, investigators and or restoration vendors.  The public adjuster must request and receive all outstanding (time sensitive) demands made by a carrier or its agents in order to ensure that the policyholder’s claims are not in jeopardy for failing to file critical documents, e.g. a carrier’s demand for a proof of lossSee Sample POL. For the record, our firm utilizes a more inclusive proof of loss forms, which better protects our clients interests.

Dedication, Documentation, and Communication are essential for a successfully settlement.
